Welcome to my 2nd blog post on the development of my beach demo. I have made alot of progress in the demo and a overview can be seen of the current progress in the video below.
A major addition includes a wind shader that adds motion to leafs and plants for added immersion; the shader was made using shader graphs and sub graphs. I had to look up tutorials on how to make a wind shader graph in Unity's HDRP since I have not touched Unity's shader graphs and the process of making one in HDRP is slightly different to if you were to make one in other render pipelines.
I've also changed my original plan I had for the map as before I planned just for the beach, dock and reception building to be used but I have expanded the area so that more of the beach is used and added paths leading to and around the reception building so it feels more like a resort. I won't be adding an entire resort and putting more focus on the beach like including beach huts (One has already been added) and other beach furniture.
I adjusted the sky in the demo from a HDRI sky to a physically based sky with volumetric clouds as it created more interesting lighting with clouds passing overhead and allowed for light rays from the sun through the trees.
Future updates to the map include adding more grass since ive started to add grass around the trees, more beach furniture, reception building furniture and optimization to the map.
